"The painting of Jake and Dixie was out of this world! You could even see Jake's "what's going on" expression! haha." B. & J. T - TX
"WOW! That's all I can say....WOW! The painting of Arthur that you did for me is fantastic! You really captured his personality. I wasn't looking for a realistic portrait of Arthur, I have hundreds of photos for that. I wanted a painting that I loved for the art as much as for being Arthur. You outdid my expectations -- and that's hard to do! Thanks and again....WOW!"

"I had the pleasure of working with Ed all the way from California. I sent photos via e-mail and he provided me with recommendations and gathered the ideas of what I was looking for with my two dogs. When he first sent over the initial sketches I was thrilled with the detail! I received the paintings shipped from across the country and they came wrapped extremely securely. I opened them in amazement as Ed really captured the expressions of my dogs and used beautiful colors in doing so. The paintings of Maverick and Lincoln are spectacular and now hang on the largest wall in my new home. We ALWAYS get compliments and truly couldn't be happier with them!!"

STEP FIVE
Ed will complete the painting and send you a final proof for your acceptance. After receiving your approval and final payment (which includes the additional charge for the shipping & handling fee), your painting will be professionally packed, insured and shipped by UPS. You will receive an email with the UPS tracking number and the estimated date of arrival. (The same procedure follows if USPS is used.)
STEP FOUR
Once the painting is at a stage where it's ready for your review, which is around 2/3 complete, Ed will email you a proof for your approval. It's at this stage where you have the opportunity to suggest revisions or changes if you want. He will work with you until you are completely satisfied.
STEP THREE
You will be provided with an initial sketch on the canvas or paper so that you can see the composition layout. Upon approval, he will start painting.
STEP TWO
After the initial conversation, you will submit photos that capture that certain look or pose that you love. You can either email the photos, or have the prints mailed to Ed. He will contact you when he has received them and the two of you will finalize any creative aspects of your project.
STEP ONE
The commission process starts with a conversation about your ideas for the painting. Information you can give Ed about what makes your dog or subject special, helps him capture that on canvas. He'll discuss what type of painting you have in mind including size, color preferences and style. A 50% deposit will be requested to book your commission. Due to the nature of custom work, turn-around time varies, usually from 3 to 6 weeks. If you need a painting sooner, ask and Ed will do everything possible to meet your deadline. (For your convenience, read the helpful Photography Tips.)
